The province of Friesland became world-famous because of the Eleven City Tour for ice skaters. Regrettably the race on ice has not taken place since 1997, because of ice and weather conditions, but the race can be done by bicycle as well and is approx. 150 miles. Enjoy the small provincial towns and the resourceful and independent people of Friesland that have their own Frisian language. Read more about Dutch Delights at http://www.1000dutchdelights.com/
