Holland is more than anything famous for its wooden shoes and tulips. Even though nowadays people hardly wear them anymore, the traditional footwear is still associated with Holland. I tried them on in Amsterdam, which is home to one of the most renowned wooden shoe manufacturers, "de Klompenboer" at the St. Antoniesbreestraat. They are actually quite comfortable. Even if you don't intend to buy a pair, it's worth a visit.
