Ferry company Doeksen sails from Harlingen in Friesland to Vlieland. You can travel to Harlingen via the Enclosing Dike (N31) and via Leeuwarden (A31). Signposts show you the route to the harbors of Harlingen (Harlingen Havens). 

Cars are not allowed on the island of Vlieland. You can park your car at an attended parking lot near the harbor. Please be there approximately thirty minutes before departure of the ferry as it is quite a walk from the parking lot to the quay.

Duration / frequency

There is a regular ferry (one hour and five minutes) as well as a fast ferry (fifty minutes). Both sailing approximately three times a day.
