Hoge Veluwe

De Hoge Veluwe covers 5,500 hectares of wood, heaths, pools and drift sand. It is the largest national park of Holland. It is a great place to explore nature on foot. A large number of walking routes have been mapped out in the park. Extensive route descriptions are available.

Places of interest
The Kroller-Muller Museum is located in the heart of the park. It is surrounded by a unique sculpture garden. The park also has a visitor's center, the Museonder Museum and a landscape garden. Here you can become acquainted with the history, nature and landscape of this park, both below and above the ground. A number of game observations areas have been created. You may be lucky enough to see red deer, mouflons and wild boars at dusk.

Walking routes
Twelve walks have been mapped out through the most beautiful parts of the park. The lengths range from 2.6 to 8 kilometers. In addition, four through routes link the Hoenderloo and Otterlo entrances with the Museonder, the visitor's centre and the St. Hubertus Lodge.

Map or guide
If you want to walk by yourself you can buy a detailed map. You may leave the paths. During school holidays guided tours can be joined. Local guides show you the most beautiful spots of De Hoge Veluwe. The average duration of these walks is two hours. Most walks start at the visitor's centre.
