Burgers' Zoo is not an ordinary zoo. Apart from all the animals you normally see in a zoo, you'll find that all of them live in their own natural environment. The 18 hectares park houses more than 3,000 animals in a real Safari Park, Savannah, Rainforest and Desert.

Safari park
Established in 1968, it's the oldest Safari Park of continental Europe. Giraffes, zebras, antelopes, rhinos, lions, cheetahs and a number of African bird species can be studied and admired from a 250-metre-long walking bridge that leads you all the way through the park. It gives you the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful panorama in peace and quiet and from a beautiful vantage point!

Rainforest
This purpose built greenhouse shows numerous plants and birds in their natural tropical surroundings. Through narrow paths and suspension bridges you make your way through this huge jungle. You'll hear the cheerful sound of waterfalls and you'll meet turtles, Caymans, otters and other exotic animals.

Desert
Imagine yourself in a real desert. Rock masses and canyons, six meter high cactuses and of course an oasis can be found here. Watch closely, so you won't miss the fast desert animals shooting by. You will see very different animals here, such as snakes and scorpions (be careful!) There are also large animals, such as big horn sheep and red lynxes.

Ocean
From the desert you can walk to the ocean. From the beach of the tropical ocean you slowly descend deeper and deeper into the ocean. Under water you can admire all kinds of colourful tropical fish.
