Once the city's main brewery, the 135-year old building today houses a 21st-century homage to one of the world's favourite brews - Heineken Beer. The Heineken Experience offers a unique combination of nostalgia and an exciting and fast-moving presentation in which the latest technologies create a surprising effect. How does it feel to be a bottle of beer?
Walk around at your leisure and see for yourself how Heineken is bottled. Check out your knowledge of the brewing process and learn all about Heineken's historic heritage. After all this you can enjoy a perfect glass of Heineken beer. Ever wondered what it's like to be a bottle of beer? Make sure you take a trip on the 'Bottle Ride.' You start the ride as an empty bottle, following the different processes until you emerge as a filled bottle of Heineken ready to be consumed. The bottle ride is a moving experience as you find yourself on a conveyor belt traveling with thousands of other bottles on their path through the brewery.

Beer test
Each room in the historic brewery has retained its own atmosphere. In the original brewing room, the impressive hop boilers have been preserved. As you walk through the old silos where grain used to be stored, look at the thickness of the walls to appreciate the work involved in the reconstruction. You can walk through an 'Amsterdam alleyway' and meet Dr. Elion - the scientist who discovered Heineken's successful yeast. Is your head still clear? Then test your knowledge of beer.
