The building
For many years this building (1528-1562) was the town hospital. Later it served as a way station for military troops and then as a museum. The museum has an exceptional collection of medieval art. The religious art depicts how Christianity developed in the Netherlands and explains how Church, State and community have interacted historically, as well as how they continue to influence each other today.

The collection
The museum holds a collection of paintings, sculpture gold and silver, textiles and manuscripts, illustrating the history of Christian culture in the Netherlands. The museum also contains works by 17th century Dutch masters such as Rembrandt, Frans Hals and Pieter Saendam.

Guided tours
