Day 1
Discovering Amsterdam can best be done by bike, so rent a bike and head over to the trendy Jordaan area. Its narrow streets and small houses give the feeling of a village inside a city. Browse through the one-of-a-kind shops and boutiques in the 'nine little streets' and blend in with the locals by sipping on hot chocolate in the nameless bar at Wolvenstraat 23 before heading over to the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art housed in a former postal distribution building. Since the building will be demolished in 2007, take advantage of the wonderful view of  Amsterdam at restaurant 11, on the 11^th floor, while having lunch.
Hop on your bike and go further into the East Docklands area and enjoy some of the cities most stunning new architecture, like the Whale apartment building and the red Python bridge. Pay a visit to Pol’s Potten to find great design by upcoming young Dutch design talents.
Check in at the stunning Lloyd Hotel and have dinner in one of their two restaurants ‘brisk’ or ‘leisurely’ depending on how much time you have or at nearby restaurant Fifteen by Britain’s celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. For some late night entertainment, visit the brand new Music Theater or dance the night away at club Panama.

Day 2:
Start your day at the Van Gogh Museum to see the largest Van Gogh collection in the world. Head over to the posh Amsterdam-South area and stop by the Waterwinkel. This shop had over a hundred different kinds of spring water. Across the street you’ll find the College hotel,  recently awarded best interior hotel design in Europe, and a perfect place to have lunch.
On your way to the shop of internationally acclaimed design collective Droog, stop by the photography museum Amsterdam, FOAM on the Keizersgracht. A few doors down from Droog you will find Puccini Bomboni, a sweet place to indulge in the oddest but most delicious chocolates anywhere. If you are looking for a great bargain head over to the nearby Waterlooplein for the city’s largest flea market. Otherwise go to Cafe de Jaren and try to conquer a place on the outside terrace along the water.
From here it’s just a couple of minutes to Brasserie Harkema, a popular hotspot among locals. After dinner either dive into the Amsterdam bar scene or head out to club Arena.
