A Canadian Adventure

Hello everyone, it's been a grueling 2.5 weeks in Canada, The moment we touched down we were whisked away by friends of mine in Toronto to start a whirl wind tour of friends, family and places such as Ontario Science Center, Niagara Falls, The Metro Toronto Zoo (where we met friends that drove all the way from New Jersey just to visit with us - impressive)and from Napanee (Kingston area) to Stratford Ontario.

This trip also marked a very special reunion between myself and my two daughters (Cheyenne ans Candace and myself whom I've not seen in 2.5 years since I left Canada, The trip was also a first for our son Riley to meet with his sisters for the first time, While the reunion was very special to me personally it was really great to spend some time with my girls.

We spent time with a lot of family and divided our time seeing as many friends as we could in the short amount of time we had to spare in parts of the country. We had day trips planned to take in as many sites as we could. We spend a weekend up at my brothers cottage where some family got together and shared quite a few laughs and did some seadoo'n and hot tubbing and general gabbing catching up on old times.

It was really a very hectic 2 weeks but it sure was a lot of fun. Our last week we headed out to Stratford and area to meet with a few of my cousins and aunts and uncle. cant tell you how much this trip meant to me, to our family seeing our great friends and family. It was my wife that pushed me into going to Canada by twisting my arm on some very good points and I am thankful very thankful she did. I guess I am lucky to have a wonderful wife and best friend. Even though I dragged them all everywhere in Ontario and tired the poor girl out on a few occasions. All in all we had a very good trip and a lot more came out of it that I had expected. We did a lot things in a short amount of time.

The only downside of the trip was leaving amongst tears of separation from loved ones and friends. To heading to the airport only to have a truck hit the plane at the gate prior to us boarding and the first flight canceled right there to the terrible night at a hotel in Toronto to returning to the airport for a second time waiting around for hours and having our second flight that was scheduled @ 10:10 pm canceled and then they said see you tomorrow, leaving us with no place to go but to figure it out for ourselves. Well after 3 days, we finally arrived home exhausted, but happy to be finally home.

We can't thank everybody enough for making our time in Canada so enjoyable while we were there, for our adopted KLM flight family for hanging together (all for one one for all) group that stuck together. we hope that they made it home safe and sound too and we look forward to hearing from you all soon.

And a special thank-you to Arie for taking us and bringing us home safely. Please have the plane back back next week.. just kiddiing.. keep it.. lol

take care ya'll
