From today, fares to one of the 262 destinations served by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has gone down thanks to the abolition of the Ticket Tax. Schiphol is celebrating by treating all departing passengers to Dutch cream cake, more than 200 metres altogether, and some cheerful Dutch tunes.

The ticket tax was introduced by the Dutch government for environmental issues last year. From this day on the flights will be cheaper for passengers flying to and from Amsterdam Schiphol.
