Let's go Indian!

OK, so you're in Amsterdam and you're hankering for Indian food. It happens no matter where you travel. Well, give in to that curry craving by heading to one of Amsterdam's best-kept secrets (not anymore), Balraj, an Indian restaurant only a 10-15 minute walk from Central Station. This place is great for both your budget and your appetite. Set in modest surroundings, Balraj is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Amsterdam, and offers an extensive menu at very reasonable prices. Go for that chicken Madras (I always ask them to tweak up the spices to firepit levels), or anything else that whets your whistle. Friendly people, good service, but no credit cards, so hit the bank machine just across the street and a couple doors down, before you go in. Dinner only, 4:30-10:30 PM, 7 days a week.
