During the Amsterdam Fashionweek bags from the Lilabags collection will be on show at the Museum of Bags and Purses from 17th July to 4th August. Designer Liesbeth Kaag will present her unique bags which radiate a sober, romantic feel; heightened by the use of non-everyday materials and forms.

For the 2008 ELLE prêt à porter collection Kaag designed two examples: a Perspex envelope bag and a hip bag. The handmade bags are recognizable for their expressiveness and refined finishing.

The collaboration with clothing company Laael has meant the bags can be viewed within a total picture. The bags are not stand-alone objects but are to be viewed in the total fashion framework which then enables their own identity to be emphasized.
