Starting from the Dag van de Architectuur (Day of Architecture), on June 21 and June 22 2008, a new cycling map will be on sale which focuses on urban development and architecture in the south-eastern part of Amsterdam. The story of the exceptional urban-development and architectural identity of this particular part of Amsterdam is not as well-known as it deserves to be.

ARCAM felt the time had come to change this. The combination of a map and a cycling route will encourage people to look around, will guide them through the area and provide useful background information. The cyclists will be able to download an mp3 sound file which accompanies the tour from the ARCAM website. The website provides additional information on buildings in the Zuidoost district. The cycling map will be available in Dutch and English and will be on sale at ARCAM, Architectura et Natura and quality bookshops.
