5 ROUTES STARTING FROM KEUKENHOF
This spring, during the Keukenhof season, (19 March - 21 May 2009) cyclists can choose from five signposted routes through the Dutch bulb country, all starting at Keukenhof. The routes are available in Dutch, English, French and German, and this year, for the first time in Spanish, Japanese and even Chinese (Cantonese).
The trip through the bulb country will lead you along cycle paths and narrow roads, taking you past vibrant fields of colour. An unforgettable experience. In March the daffodils are already flowering. When the hyacinths come into bloom you can smell spring in the air and when the tulips burst open in their countless varieties, the full glory of the bulb fields is displayed!
Two routes take you past the fields north of Keukenhof. Another two take you south, so that you can also pay a visit to Panorama Tulipland or the Zwarte Tulp (Black tulip) bulb museum.
The longest – and most varied – route (approximately 25 km) heads towards the coast and through the very heart of the bulb country.
There is also an opportunity for groups to visit a bulb farm. The cost of renting a bike is € 8.50 including the route. There is a selection of ladies’, men’s and children’s bikes. There are also tandems and children’s seats.
You can rent a bike 7 days a week from 9.30 hours. All bikes must be returned by 19.00 hours. For more information including special deals and group bookings please contact:
