On December 20 2007 a very unique museum opened its doors in Amsterdam. The Nederlands Uitvaart Museum (Netherlands Funeral Museum), 'Tot Zover' is focused on funeral culture in the Netherlands over the centuries. Primary themes include paying respects to the deceased and processions throughout history and in the current multicultural climate. Highlights of the collection are the various funeral coaches, including a nineteenth century ceremonial carriage.
