From 21 December 2007 through 6 January 2008 the Koninklijk (Royal) Theater Carré in Amsterdam presents the 23rd edition of the ‘Wereldkerstcircus’ (World Christmas Circus). The circus is a selection of the top circus acts and attractions from around the world. Symbolic of the 120 years of the Carré, the musical Rossyann Clowns will combine nostalgia with modern tempo and contemporary humour. Oscar Carré's specialty was horses; foremost the Trakehner stallions. He would have therefore enjoyed the spectacular acrobatics of Hungarian Florian Richter. The Alexis Brothers, a muscle-defying acrobat duo straight out of Las Vegas, will also perform. They are at the top of their field. This is also the case for the Ikarische ensemble from China and the Zijden Droomvlucht (silk aerial) with ten artistes. The amusing sea lions of Petra and Roland Duss are one of the most animal-friendly circus acts in the world. The gold metal winners of the Paris circus festival, Vertical Tango are sure to leave the public in awe.
