Skating rink on the Leidseplein

From 1 November 2007 through 6 January 2008 skaters can once again glide across the Leidseplein. Set up in the midst of cafés and restaurants between the Leidsestraat and Stadsschouwburg, the skating rink will be a bit bigger this year at 20 x 18 metres. The rink is open daily from 10:00 to 23:00 and is free of charge. Skates are available to rent for €4. Those who have worked up an appetite will be spoilt for choice; oliebollen (doughnut ball), poffertjes (small Dutch pancakes), waffles and braadworst are served up in little stalls around the rink.
