A great tip for visitors to Amsterdam is the I amsterdam Card. By use of a chip-card one can discover everything about the city in an economical and convenient way.  The  I amsterdam Card consists of a chip-card, a public transport ticket, a full-colour guide and over 30 free and 20 discounted offers on major tourist attractions and restaurants. Benefits include free entrance to 26 museums, a free canal tour and free use of the buses, trams and metro and a discount on train travel to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. In addition to these offers, the I amsterdam Card grants a 25% discount at several restaurants and major attractions in Amsterdam. The I amsterdam Card is valid for 24, 48 and 72 hours at a cost of € 33, € 43 and €53 respectively. The card offers over €100 in savings. The 144 page full-colour guide is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch. The I amsterdam Card can be purchased at information offices of the Amsterdam Tourism & Convention Board (ATCB) in Amsterdam, the region, the GVB public transport bureau, Amsterdam hotels and participating museums and establishments.
