Surrealism and design
1

This exposition in Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen shows the influence of surrealism on the worlds of design, fashion, film, architecture and advertising and concentrates on the creation of surrealistic objects. From the sensuality of Dalí's Mae West Lips couch to Schiaparelli's disturbing rags dress, surrealism has produced some of the most exceptional objects ever created. The exhibition will enclose about 200 objects and contains paintings, sculptures, architecture, works on paper, book bindings, jewellery, ceramics, glass, textile, furniture, fashion, film and photography. Includes work by Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, Giorgio de Chirico, Elsa Schiaparelli and Max Ernst.
