The Dutch provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland have long been favored by nobility and as a result you can find the most beautiful castles, country houses and gardens in this part of the country.

One of the best restaurants in all of Holland is located in Overijssel, in the historic center of the old Hanseatic town of Zwolle. The name of the restaurant is De Librije, it has 3 Michelin stars and is run by the famous chef Jonnie Boer. The restaurant is famous for using regional ingredients. Jonnie and his wife Therese Boer are opening a new hotel in 2008 in the former town prison that dates back to the early 18^th century. The hotel will feature 22 rooms and a restaurant.
