Although summer showed up in March and at the same time has yet to officially start, the 2007 festival season is raging. Obviously, outdoor party fans want to enjoy this time of year as long as they possibly can. Still, there is no harm in looking forward to the season’s grand finale. On Saturday 15 September, UDC and Mid-town are joining forces to present A Nightmare Outdoor, a loud and proud way to bring the blistering festival season to a close—for this year at least. Just like in 2006, the event will be held in the fantastic Binnenmaas recreational area in Mijnsheerenland, just south of Rotterdam. Once again, the entire recreational area will be set up to host the only all-night hardcore-only festival in the Netherlands, where 15,000 hardcore fanatics can enjoy the best home-grown and foreign DJs and live acts from 9 at night until 7 in the morning in different areas. Like last year’s edition, A Nightmare Outdoor 2007 will have a total of five areas. On this night, practically every sub-genre in the entire hardcore spectrum will be represented to give everyone what they want. This year, however, the festival set-up will feature several important changes. First of all, several areas will be hosted by cutting edge organisations in the hardcore scene. Their names will be announced along with the line-up. Also, even more attention, time and energy will be devoted to the unique décor and performance acts, all of which will embody the true spirit of this hardcore event.

Of course, in keeping with the Nightmare Outdoor tradition, a massive, lavish main stage will be built outside, which will feature a large variety of acts. For those who get their kicks from good old- fashioned pounding beats, a true early rave area is in the works. Everyone who dreams of the early days and origins of hard dance can visit the old school area for a trip back in time. Anyone who is addicted to experimental, brutal and dark hardcore should head straight for the industrial area, while noise terrorists will lose themselves completely in the terror tent.
