On Saturday, September 1, 2007, a ribbon of flowers almost a mile in length will wend it's way for the last time from Aalsmeer through Amstelveen to Amsterdam. The theme for the last Aalsmeer flower Parade will be "Rhythm & Bloom". This theme was derived from the theme used to promote tourism in Amsterdam during 2007:"Amsterdam, Feel the Rhythm". It promises to be a swinging farewell to a tradition filled with flowers. But also a farewell you'll never forget. With a fantastic final celebration in the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam - a Grand Finale with music, dance, performances by famous artists, and, of course, more than a million flowers.
