From March 7 to March 16, 2008, 220 art and antiques dealers from fifteen countries will gather in one of Holland's oldest and most southern city of Maastricht at TEFAF, the Maastricht Fair.
The museum quality works of art from 3,000 BC to the present day is unrivalled and include Dutch Old Masters, Italian and French old master paintings, an impressive collection of modern art, French, English and Italian furniture, classical antiquities, manuscripts, coins, porcelain and jewelry. 130 Experts examine each work of art for its authenticity, quality and condition. In addition, the Art Loss Register checks the art works against their register of stolen art. As a result, the visitor can buy with the highest possible confidence at The Maastricht Fair. In 2007, the fair attracted over 75,000 collectors, art lovers, museums directors, curators and art professionals from all over the world.
