The history of Slot Zeist began in 1677 when Willem Adriaan, Count of Nassau-Odijck and grandson of Prince Maurits, bought the ?Manor Zeist?. The designer of the mansion, Jacob Roman and Daniel Marot who designed the interior, both also designed various other Royal Dutch palaces.
