Stand on a bridge and see fifteen others.

The old city center of Amsterdam boasts a bridge from which you can see no fewer than fifteen bridges. You can enjoy this unique view from the bridge on the corner of Reguliersgracht and Herengracht. You must stand on the side of the street with the odd numbers.

Does it add up?
When standing on this bridge, with your back towards Thorbeckeplein square, you will see six arched bridges in a row. On the left-hand side, across Herengracht, you see another six bridges. On the right you see an additional two. If you are any good at math, you will have added this up to only fourteen bridges. The fifteenth bridge is the one you are standing on! At night the spectacle is extra special, as the arched bridges are illuminated with hundreds of fairy lights. From the canal cruise boats you hear the ooohhing and aaahhing of tourists and the clicking of their cameras.
